As you have probably read in my Ipsy post, I love subscription boxes. I was really excited when I found out that TopBox is a Canadian based company and that shipping is free!
Topbox is 12 $ a month plus tax (13.80$). You receive 4 deluxe beauty samples and you can cancel anytime. It is shipped on the 15th of each month. That is a pretty good deal. I was excited to get this package because I haven’t seen or read a lot of reviews on Youtube or blogs about this service.
Here is what I got:
It came in a beautiful purple box that I will be able to reuse as a gift box. I found it very interesting that their product cards inform us of the value of each item.
I try the Lancôme Advance Multi-Correcting Cream (worth 27.60$):
I am super excited by this cream because I am currently searching in order to change mine. I know Lancôme offers more expensive products so it is great that we get to try it before to commit to a 92$ bottle! This cream smells like an old lady’s expensive perfume. I found it too strong for me. Nevertheless, the cream itself was very hydrating and it helped with my break outs. The skin on my face became very smooth. This cream has its ups and downs for me.
I try this Hydrogel Eye Patch from Eyeko London (worth 4.50$):
I have never heard of this brand before. But I am excited to try this product because I haven’t sleep much lately I am willing to try anything to look less like a zombie! This is super gooey and slippery; I almost dropped one on the floor! I love the texture and that it is thick. I was actually expecting a paper thin layer, this is was more like the thickness of a toonie. It sticks very well to the skin. Now I have to wait 30 minutes. Be careful I tried to push up one of the patch and it stuck to my finger and I almost took it all out (maybe I am too clumsy).I don’t see a big difference but you probably have to use it more than once.
I try this China Glaze Nail Polish in the color X-TA-SEA (worth 10$):
I was a little bum when I saw the nail polish because I haven’t worn any in a while, mostly because I find myself with a scrapped polish after two days. I am willing to give it a try. This is my first China Glaze polish. Also I like the color. You definitely need two coats to make the color really stand out. I think I would wear this color in the fall season or when winter is almost over.
I try this Elizabeth Arden Eye Cream (worth 16$):
How can something so small cost so much! They say good things come in small packages, let’s find out if it’s true. I can’t wait to try this sample also. I used it 4 days in a row, and I didn’t see a difference. The only thing I felt is the coolest as you apply it underneath your eyes but that’s it. I wouldn’t buy this in the stores.
I find it a bit weird that they would put two eye products in the same box. I am no complaining because I will use both, but it’s more of an observation. I think this box is well worth my 13, 80$. The total value is 57, 10$! Isn’t that amazing? I already cannot wait for next month to arrive.
