L’Oreal Eye Shadow – Mademoiselle Pink

Now I am not a makeup guru or expert, I’m so far away from that it’s almost shameful, BUT I have discovered a new eye shadow at the drug store and I love it! Well I believe it’s new, I cannot find it on their canadian website! I bought mine at Pharmarprix/Shoppers. I saw online that you can also find it at target.

I bought the color 206 Mademoiselle Pink.

Lately I have been using dark browns and when I saw this beautiful shade of pink I wanted to buy it, AND it was on special! How could I resist?

As soon as I swatch the sample at the store, I felt the powder being so creamy I loved it. Let me tell you what I love even more, the time it stays on your eyes! I have oily skin and usually my eye shadows always creases and disappears during the day. This one stays in place I am so happy! The only down side, I find that they don’t have enough colours! I went back to the store to find a nice purple to do an ombre, but nothing. Also, the colors on the paper display are not the same… I liked the green one they were showing on the display but in real the shadow being way darker.

This is still a great discovery for me. Let me know in the comments below if you tried it and if you loved it as much as I did.

February challenge : Self-love Day 4

Not travelling more in the past.
I feel like I would have put my money to better use and would have had great memories. It’s time to get over it and plan future travels. There is no way for me to go back in time anyway.
Time to budget and get that bucket list started!

In the next few years I wish I could visit Italy, go back to Greece and somewhere down south in an all inclusive.

The picture above is a picture I took in Greece back in 2008. It was taken in front of my grandmother’s house. This scene is so peaceful and beautiful.

Feel free to share your travelling dreams in the comments below!

February challenge : Self-love Day 3

Write about one personality trait that you love about yourself and why.
I believe that I am good company.
  • I am a good listener.
  • I can make people laugh
  • I am willing to try new things with them.
  • I make good deserts and my friends are good eaters
  • I don’t need much to have fun with someone. We can have a great time listening to music, or simply talking.
  • I own a lot of board games and I can entertain them all night.
  • I share my food (hahaha I thought this one was funny).
  • The most important one, my heart is always in a good place when I am in company of someone. What I say or do is never made to be mean or hurt their feelings.

February challenge : Self-love Day 2

Write about one physical feature that you love about yourself and why.
My eyes.
  • They are like an open book. You can read all my emotions in there. Sure I can have a poker face when I have to, but they are the entry way to my soul… How poetic!
  • My eyes are hazel, but they become more green when I wear green clothing or when I cry (very random).
  • I love them with and without makeup (except for my under eyes).
  • They let me see all the beauty in the world
This post is so cheesy! But I love me some cheese!
What is your favorite physical feature?

February challenge : Self-love Day 1

Write about yourself – include physical characteristics.

I am a twenty six years old girl who is still trying to figure out what do to with her life. I always thought I knew what I wanted to do as a carreer, but I feel as if my current job is not fulfilling me 100%. I love to spend time with my friends and family, I love to make them laugh and feel special. I also love having some down time and be alone in my thoughts. I don’t like to talk about myself that much, but from time to time, I do speak too much. I like trying new things, but sometimes I need a push from someone else because new can be scary.
I have brown hair (for now), hazel eyes. I am chubby, however I am trying to include more excercise in my everyday life. I probably own too much black clothing and of course I love shoes. I love spending money on new makeup even if I am not a good at trying new looks. For the first time this year, I have set up goals to accomplish trought out the year (NOT new year resolutions).
The more I write about this subject, the more uncomfortable I am feelin. As much as I could be loud and annoying, I am very shy. I love doing artistic projects even though I am not good at it. I wish I could draw or paint or be full of new creative ideas. Just like this post I have a big tendency to jump from one subject to another… from one project to another and I have a hard time finishing them because I have started 20.
I have learned that life is a work in progress, I cannot do or change everything I want at once and I have to accept that.
I hope the rest of the challenge will be easier than answering this question, it got personal so fast!
Will you try the February challenge?

Week 3 – 21 day fix

Processed with Rookie Cam

I will admit that I haven’t been doing my eating plan properly, I have been eye balling it, BUT I still eat better food (more veggies, less fat and less sugar). I am very frustrated because I do not have a picture to show you the before and after. Honestly, on the scale I only lost four pounds. However, you could see it in my figure that I had lost fat and gained muscle weight. I finished my challenge on december 23rd. I admit I abused of the good things in life during the holidays. By the time it was over, I hadn’t worked out since and I know I ate too much… it was too late for picture. This challenge did make me realize a few things:

  • Before the challenge, I knew I over ate, but I didn’t know how much
  • Cheating from time to time will not ruin all your efforts
  • I do not have a lot of self control, it is better to not have junk food at home
  • I surprised myself being excited to do my workout
  • If I did it once, I can do it again
  • Having someone to support you will make a big difference
  • It is easy to over eat again, you should always be alert of what you put in your mouth.. eg. don’t eat junk food straight out of a bag while watching tv, use your portion control containers or you will eat the whole thing… well I do.
I do plan on make a round 2 in February and I will try to get better at meal prepping. It’s a great feeling to feel strong. Come on round 2, come at me!
Let me know in the comments below if you have tried this 21 day fix and how it went for you.
